We at Wasel believe in empowering youth with the tools needed for them to create income generating projects. This program targets 30 unemployed youth and works with them on the ideation phase and provides them with all the trainings they need to launch their business. We then connect them with incubators, accelerators and financial institutions so they can pitch their business.

Target Group: Youth age 18-24

The training sessions include:

  1. Needs assessment Session: How to come up with an idea based on a need in the community through surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews and market research.

  2. Investment in Jordan: We bring specialist from the investment commission to give a workshop to explain to where participants can get investments from and how they can invest and grow their money, and create a portfolio.

  3. Commercial Law in Jordan: Will teach the participants all legalities of owning a business in Jordan

  4. Proposal writing: How to draft a proposal for a business.

  5. Banking & Finance in Jordan: Teaching youth about loans specified for startups, what is required and how they can qualify and linking them to banks.

  6. Amman Chamber of Industry & Made in Jordan Campaign: We bring specialist from the chamber about the role of the chamber helping business, the services they offer, their support to entrepreneurs as well as the industrial ecosystem and their role in promoting Jordanian products.

  7. Jordan chamber of Commerce: We bring specialist from the chamber about the role of the chamber helping business, the services they offer, their support to entrepreneurs as well as the ecosystem and their role in promoting Jordanian products.

  8. Jordan Social Security Corporation: Explains to youth the benefits of registering their business in ssc.

  9. Marketing session: Explains to youth how to marketing techniques to maximize sales.

  10. Product pricing: Teach participants pricing tactics.

  11. Feasibility plan: Teach participants how to do a feasibility study for their project.

  12. How to pitch your business: Teach participants how to pitch their product to investors.

  13. Success stories: Bring several success stories of entrepreneurs to explain their journeys to the youth and give the feedback on their projects.

  14. Mentoring Sessions: To look over participants business kit that was developed that includes proposal, feasibility study, budget, marketing plan, needs assessment and pitch and give them feedback.

·       Connecting with incubator’s: Taking the participants to field visits to multiple incubators to understand the criteria of joining the incubators and to pitch their project. Incubators include:
